| Adresseregisteret (AR) | A Grunndata service for managing communication parties and their methods of communication |
| CertificateMetadata | An object containing a certificate and some metadata about it |
| HerId | The unique identifier (integer) given to all communication parties in AR |
| NTRNO | NTRNO is an abbreviation of "National Trade Register Norway", only present on SEID v2 certificates |
| SEID v1/v2 | In September 2021 SEID rolled out the new certificate profile version 2.0, following the EU standard for certificates. More about SEID v2 here |
| Thumbprint | A hash string containing the certificate data and its signature |
